imagy is my shorter version of imagery
imagery means to use figurative language to represent objects, actions, and ideas in such a way that it appeals to our physical senses.
Usually it is thought that imagery makes use of particular words that create visual representation of ideas in our minds. The word “imagery” is associated with mental pictures. However, this idea is but partially correct. Imagery, to be realistic, turns out to be more complex than just a picture. source: literarydevices.net
After graduating Sint Lucas as a spatial designer I went a different direction and spend the following + ten years working mainly in the festival industry. I started with handing out promotional flyers and now manage branding for multiple festivals in multiple countries.
In 2018, after working eight years at a large festival organisation as the online & brand manager, it was time for a change. I needed more diversity, expand my skills and surround myself with new energy.
And so it begun ... starting my sole proprietorship; crear.digital ('crear' is Spanish for 'create') with services that people knew and expected I would offer, digital marketing. Besides that I added some extra services that where, in a work related way, somewhat new to link to me. After a great first year, being my own employer, I found out that especially those extra services gave me a lot more energy and unfortunately some parts of digital marketing and I just didn't match anymore. So instead of changing just what I do I wanted to start fresh again... back to the drawing board and get a new name, new logo and my new main services!
It needed to be short, simple and about images (that could be a lot of things). The outcome; imagy... Creating visual imagery.
